Psycho Bunny Launches its Anticipated Oncourt Tennis Collection

Psycho Bunny Launches its Anticipated Oncourt Tennis Collection

Introducing the Courtside Tennis Collection

For the first time ever, Psycho Bunny has unleashed a lifestyle-inspired Courtside Tennis Collection that is geared towards individuals who love the sport—and our vibrant high-quality apparel—as much as we do. Since Psycho Bunny’s 2023 leap into the international world of sport, we’ve launched our first-ever Courtside Tennis Collection. The fashion Collection is a celebration of our love for tennis, with designs steeped in playfulness, bright colors, and detailed graphics—which has set us apart from other high-quality menswear brands.

Although we had created a line of highly-functional apparel in collaboration with Tennis Canada that is engineered for peak performance in various sporting arenas, the new Courtside Tennis Collection will cater to tennis lovers who want to look good off the court—but can easily hold its own on your weekly tennis outings to the club or quick pickup games with your friends.

What’s in the Collection?

The Collection’s polos and T-shirts are made from Psycho Bunny’s signature Peruvian Pima cotton, which has extra-longer staples that make it softer, stronger, longer-lasting, and more luxurious than any other cotton. A more sport-forward polo style, while also crafted in Peru, is made from a technical piqué for on-the-go looks or to take-on game day by the horns. It’s breathable, moisture-wicking, made with the perfect elasticity, and looks great on and off the court.

Hoodies, Sweatshirts, and Shorts

Hoodies, sweatshirts, track shorts, and track jackets are crafted from the brand’s lavish soft fleece, hitting the crosshairs of modern athleisure and the renowned Psycho Bunny aesthetic and detailing. A woven track short—with mesh paneling—is offered in “ultramarine green” that is both representative of the game and contemporary trends. The short is one of those go-to pieces that’ll stay in heavy-rotation throughout your summer, whether that entails outings to the beach, happy hour at your favorite wine bar, or a pick-up game at your local tennis club or public court.

Accessories

Rounding out the Courtside Tennis Collection is a series of function-driven accessories, including a woven cap, a visor, a canvas tennis racket cover, an unstructured canvas tote bag, and keychains. Thoughtfully designed, these items are intended to bring function to your sport and everyday life, all in their own unique way.

The canvas tote is made from exceptional cotton canvas that is thick and durable, but soft and luxurious to the touch. The attention to detail is impressive, with an embroidered tennis Bunny logo at the face and a wordmark at the back face. The twin webbing straps, that can be slung over your shoulder or simply carried by hand, is striped with a jacquard-woven logo pattern. There’s a bulky drawstring at the throat that you can fasten to keep your belongings safely stowed away in the inside, which features an additional zip pocket.

The tennis racket cover is made from the same canvas, featuring the same style strap and embroidery—a both vibrant and highly-functional addition to your oncourt accessory game that’ll get you to the court and home with the utmost of ease.

The woven cap is a summertime mainstay that you’ll find useful every day, whether on the beach or practicing your serve-and-volley game. It’s breathable and quick-dry textile keeps you dry and cool for longer, while the adjustable back-strap ensures a comfortable fit for all shapes and sizes. Featuring two embroidered tennis Bunnies and a wordmark, the cap well and truly pledges its allegiance to the game of tennis.

Two keychains are on offer, one featuring a color-enameled metal racket with a tennis ball and rubber logo chimes, while the other is the tennis Bunny logo with the same color-enameled metal construction that has a tennis ball chime attached to it.

Availability and Exclusivity

The Courtside Tennis Collection is available online, in-store, and will be offered at a pop-up store at the National Bank Open in both Montreal and Toronto in August 2024. Exclusive custom Pima cotton T-shirts and caps for both Montreal and Toronto will also be sold on-site at the National Bank Open showcases in these cities. The Toronto items will have the National Bank Open logo in English, while the Montreal styles will feature the logo in French, as a subtle point of difference. Both the cap and T-shirt with be available in sizes for men, women, and children, so no one will leave disappointed.

The Metamorphosis of the Bunny for Tennis

Psycho Bunny’s logo is iconic to the brand—it’s instantly recognizable. For our entry into the tennis arena, we wanted the logo to go through a metamorphosis, becoming more relevant to the landscape and sport that inspired it. The tennis rackets and Bunny motif is completely unique to this collection and our partnership with Tennis Canada. In the Courtside Tennis Collection it is applied with intricate embroidered detailing—down to the tennis racket strings—and high-quality prints, which are executed with laser precision. When you see the pieces in this special assortment of clothing up close, the amount of care and quality involved in making them becomes instantly evident. At Psycho Bunny we pride ourselves in exceptional quality—and our lifestyle tennis line certainly is no exception.

Bringing a New Energy to the Court

One of the reasons we wanted to enter the international tennis world was to inject our unique energy into the sport. We believed that our vibrant aesthetic, paired with our love for tennis, would result in more playful designs for Tennis Canada, while still respecting history and heritage. As our values align with this talented team, we felt confident that we could bring a fresh energy to the court that would compliment what Tennis Canada represent. The results speak for themselves through the new version of the Pscyho Bunny logo and the designs of the performance-driven garments. Psycho Bunny is excited to continue to showcase its unique point of view and drive the sport in a playful new direction, while cultivating local talent and supporting the tennis community. It’s all for the love of the game and the individuals that share their passion for tennis.

Tennis Canada x Psycho Bunny

Since announcing our entrance into the tennis scene we have had the privilege to collaborate with and design exciting new tennis clothing for the Tennis Canada team. We are very proud to be the esteemed Official Athletic Apparel Partner of Tennis Canada and Official Athletic Apparel Partner of the National Bank Open, presented by Rogers Events in Toronto & Montreal.

In a stellar addition, we've teamed up with tennis virtuoso Frank Dancevic, who now proudly wears the hat of our brand ambassador. Brace yourselves for an elevated game, both on and off the court, as Frank brings his expertise and charisma into the Psycho Bunny family.

Psycho Bunny is all about making a statement—and what better way than dressing the entire team! We'll be supplying the teams with uniforms and outfitting the crew in style. Here's the lineup:

  • Tennis Canada Official Uniforms: Unleashing a Psycho Bunny branded apparel collection every two years for all Tennis Canada teams, from Billie Jean King Cup to Masters.
  • National Bank Open Official Uniforms: Annually crafting Psycho Bunny branded apparel for on-court and off-court officials, staff, security, and volunteers.

Our commitment to Tennis Canada extends for an exciting three-year partnership. We're more than just a polo brand; we're making a bold dive into the world of tennis. Because, let's be honest, when your passion for quality runs as deep as ours, it's only natural to invest in both the Canadian territory and its exceptional talent.

The label also partnered with Frank Dancevic, Davis Cup Captain and professional tennis coach, to guide them as they gain momentum on the global tennis scene. This includes community events, clinics, local happenings and competitions, club level, the pro tour, and the world’s biggest tournaments.

About the National Bank Open

The men's tournament was first introduced back in 1881—and it wasn’t until 1892 that the women’s tournament officially came to the court. This means that the National Bank Open is the third oldest tennis tournament today in the whole world.

This year, the women meet in Toronto to fight it out, while the men will clash in Montréal to determine the winners of the 2024 National Bank Open. The National Bank Open, presented by Rogers, takes place every summer in Montreal at the IGA Stadium, 285 Rue Gary-Carter, and Toronto at the Sobeys Stadium, 1 Shoreham Drive.

It is a prestigious professional tennis tournament owned and operated by Tennis Canada. Classified as an ATP Masters 1000 event on the ATP Tour calendar and a WTA 1000 event on the women’s tour, the National Bank Open attracts the biggest stars in tennis year after year.
